The Akuvox SR01 is a critical security accessory designed to prevent the most common “hack” against outdoor intercoms: the physical bypassing of the door lock.

By default, most intercoms connect their lock relay directly to the outdoor station. A savvy intruder could rip the station off the wall and jump the wires with a 9V battery to open the door. The SR01 eliminates this risk by moving the lock control to the secure side of the wall (indoors).

The Akuvox SR01 is a compact security relay designed to enhance door access control when integrated with Akuvox intercom devices such as the A02, R20, R28, R29, X915, X912, and E16. Installed on the secure side of the door, it adds an extra layer of protection by requiring an automatic verification code from the intercom to unlock the door, thereby preventing unauthorized access attempts, such as those using a 12V battery to manipulate electric locks. Its ultra-compact form allows it to fit into most standard installation boxes, making it a discreet yet effective addition to any security system.
