The CSD-1255 is a general purpose 12V 55Ah sealed lead acid (SLA) battery with a 10 year floating design life that meets both IEC and JIS standards. It is suitable for use in a wide range of domestic and commercial applications such as mobility, UPS, fire and security systems.
Deep Cycle Design: Suitable for applications where the battery is regularly discharged significantly and then recharged. This is key for sustained power delivery (unlike car batteries, which are designed for short, high-current starting bursts).
Non-Spillable: Can be mounted in any orientation (except permanently inverted) because the acid is suspended in the glass mats. Safe for use indoors and for air travel (IATA/ICAO Special Provision A67 compliant).
Long Service Life: Designed for both float service (long-term standby/backup power) with a typical life of 5-10 years, and cyclic use (regular discharge/recharge).
Low Self-Discharge: Retains charge well during storage compared to older lead-acid chemistries.
