The AXIS-01782-001 2MP licence plate camera is the first dedicated licence plate camera from Axis enabling the capture of sharp images 24/7 and upto speeds of 130km/h. Armed with flexible integration, users will be enabled to use third-party analytics, therefore making this camera ideal for road and urban security.

The AXIS Q1700-LE (01782-001) was Axis’s first dedicated, purpose-built license plate capture (LPC) camera. While it remains a high-performance tool for traffic and gate security, it is important to note that as of 2026, it has been discontinued and officially replaced by the AXIS Q1800-LE you viewed earlier.

Axis is providing hardware support and RMA services for this model until July 2031, so it remains a viable option if you already own it or are sourcing it for a specific legacy project.
