The Hikvision DS-PDBG8-EG2 is a high-performance wired glass break detector designed for the AX Hybrid Pro series (and other traditional wired systems). It utilizes an advanced omni-directional microphone sensor to monitor for the specific acoustic frequencies generated by shattering glass.

Unlike motion sensors, this device allows you to secure the perimeter of a room while people (or pets) are moving freely inside.

• Omni-Directional Microphone: High-quality acoustic sensor that picks up sound from all directions (360 degrees coverage) within its range.

• Dual-Stage Detection: To prevent false alarms from common noises (like a dropped glass or a dog barking), the detector must hear two distinct sounds in sequence:

  1. The low-frequency “thud” of a physical impact on the glass.

  2. The high-frequency “shatter” of the glass breaking.

• 8-Meter Detection Range: A single detector can cover multiple windows within a large room, provided there is a clear “line of sight” for the sound waves.

   

• Selectable Sensitivity: Features two levels of sensitivity (2m, 4m, 6m, or 8m) via onboard DIP switches to match the size and acoustics of the room.⁶
