The Hikvision DS-2XC6122FWD-IS (2.8mm) is the ultra-wide version of the 2MP anti-corrosion dome series. While 4mm and 6mm versions are more common for specific targets, the 2.8mm lens is the preferred choice for wide-area coverage in highly corrosive environments.

Its housing is constructed from 316L Stainless Steel, making it immune to the oxidation and pitting that destroys standard aluminum cameras in maritime or chemical-heavy settings.

Hikvision’s latest anti-corrosion cameras utilise 316L stainless steel housings for maximum corrosion resistance. They are IP67 water/dust ingress rated and WF-2, NEMA 4X and C5-M anti-corrosion rated, making them ideal for coastal regions where salt corrosion is a major concern and also for food processing plants where harsh chemicals are being used to sanitise the environment on a regular basis.

This series is available in a variety of form factors including fixed domes, vari-focal dome, speed domes and fixed lens bullet cameras.
