The Hikvision DS-7732NI-I4-16P (often simply referred to as the 7732NI-I4-16) is a high-capacity, rack-mountable workstation designed for larger security footprints. As part of the professional I-Series, it offers a massive jump in processing power and storage overhead compared to the 16-channel model we discussed earlier.

While it has 16 physical PoE ports on the back, it is a 32-channel NVR, meaning you can connect an additional 16 cameras via a separate PoE switch on your network.

Hikvision’s HIK-7732NI-I4-16 / DS-7732NI-I4(B) is a 32 channel network video recorder with 16 embedded plug and play PoE ports. Part of Hikvision’s I Series NVR range, it houses a 4-core processor and supports H.265 intelligent compression which aims to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 50%. Additionally, this NVR combines multiple advanced technologies such as audio and video decoding technology, network technology and intelligent technology, all contributing factors to the I Series range running smoother than previous generations. Featuring 16 PoE network interfaces for easy plug and play setup and capable of 4K(UHD) video output via HDMI and 1080P via VGA, this NVR supports up to 12MP resolution recording.

NOTE – This NVR now has Australian Acusense Firmware, meaning it can classify human and vehicle movements from Acusense cameras.
