The Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1 (Surface Mount) is the primary module for the Hikvision Gen2 modular IP video intercom system. This specific “Surface Mount” bundle includes both the 2MP camera module and the necessary aluminum housing (DS-KD-ACW1) to mount the unit directly onto a flat wall surface without needing to cut a hole for a backbox.
The main unit features a 2MP HD Fisheye Camera with a $180^\circ$ horizontal field of view, ensuring you can see visitors even if they are standing to the side of the door. To handle varied lighting, it uses 120 dB True WDR to prevent silhouettes in bright sunlight and IR supplement light for clear identification in total darkness. The audio system includes a built-in omnidirectional microphone and a high-volume speaker ($>85$ dB) with advanced noise suppression and echo cancellation for clear two-way communication.
