The ZKTeco EX16 Elevator Floor Extension Board is designed to enhance elevator access control by allowing restriction of access to an additional sixteen floors. When integrated with the EC10 Elevator Control Panel, which manages up to ten floors, each EC10 can support up to three EX16 boards, enabling control of up to fifty-eight floors with a single EC10 bundle. This scalability ensures that the system can accommodate buildings with extensive floor counts. The EX16 communicates with the EC10 via RS485 and is powered by a 12V DC 1A supply. Its compact dimensions (160mm × 106mm) and lightweight design (0.2kg) facilitate easy installation within existing elevator systems.
The EX16 supports various user credentials, including fingerprints, proximity cards, and passwords, providing versatile access control options. Pre-defined time schedules can be implemented to manage floor access, allowing for unrestricted access during regular business hours (Passage mode) and restricted access during other times. The system’s management is streamlined through user-friendly software, and an SDK is available for software companies aiming to integrate the system into their platforms. This combination of features makes the EX16 a secure, scalable, and cost-effective solution for modern elevator access control needs.
