1. Payment methods

POSMarket accepts almost any method of payment: credit card, bank deposit, BPay, money order, cheque etc. See the below for more information.

2. Payment with Credit Card

POSMarket accepts online payments using the following VISA and MASTERCARD with no surcharge.

POSMarket credit card purchases will be displayed as 'POSMarket' on your credit card statement.

POSMarket uses a St George Bank payment gateway to protect your credit card details during an online transaction. We do not handle your credit card details directly. All payment is processed by St George directly.

IMPORTANT: Internet security is a crucial issue for us and obviously it's an important issue for you too. As such, large transactions may involve additional screening and we will require confirmation on a couple of key details before we proceed. In this event, we will get in contact with you. In some cases this may delay your order by a day or two, but it is in the interests of all credit card holders that we go the extra mile.

Is it safe to use my credit card online?

Yes, it is extremely safe.

When transacting via the St George Bank secure server, your credit card and personal details are encrypted using the latest industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 128 Bit encryption technology before being sent over the internet. Your credit card number is never seen by anyone except the bank server.

As part of our information protection policy, we guarantee that

  • We do not store your credit card details anywhere on our systems

  • We only use third parties that satisfy our stringent security standards

  • We use networking security measures such as firewalling and VPNs

    3. Payment with BPAY

    What is BPAY? In simple terms, BPAY is an easy way of transferring money from your bank account to ours without the hassle of account numbers. Once it is set up with your financial institution (for free), you'll find it's a safe, easy and convenient way for you to make online payments.

    How to pay using BPAY?

    When placing your order, just select BPAY as your payment method. We'll then provide you with a BPAY biller code and reference number.

    You can then use your bank's phone banking or internet banking to submit payment. It's usually as simple as selecting the 'BPAY' or 'pay a bill' option, then entering your POSMarket biller code and reference number. If you need a hand using BPAY, your bank will be more than happy to help out.

    You don't need to advise us when your payment has been made - our system will automatically locate your order based on your BPAY reference number.

    BPAY payments take 1-2 weekdays to reach us from your bank. Once your payment arrives, your order will be processed. For this reason, we recommend payment via credit card or PayPal for the fastest possible delivery.

    Please note that as all orders are made via 3rd party couriers POSMarket.com.au does not accept COD payments.

    6. Payment with Money Order or Cheque

    We accept money orders and cheques. Please make payment to 'POSMarket'.

    Please bear in mind that by the time your payment reaches our offices and your item is then dispatched, there could well be a lengthy delay in you taking receipt of your item. You may find it easier to pay via Direct Deposit or Bpay if you do not have a credit card.

    7. Why was my Credit Card declined?

    Your credit card may have been declined due to the following reasons:

    1. Insufficient cleared Funds

    2. Your card has expired

    3. Incorrect CSC number, preventing transaction completion (please refer to 'What is my Credit Cards CVC2 number?'

    Should you be experiencing problems with your Credit Card payment, we recommend that you either fax through your order and credit card information to us on (02) 8246 6382 or contact our Customer Service team on 1300737 998 and we will process your order manually.

    Please note that we do not charge to assist you over the telephone to place your order via the web.

    8. What is my Credit Cards CVC2 number?

    Your CVC2 number is your Card Security Code, which is a 3 or 4 digit number printed on the back or the front of your credit card. As you may have noticed, we request the CVC2 number on your credit card during your Secure Checkout process, for your protection. The CVC2 number is an authentication scheme to help prevent fraud. Therefore, if your credit card number is provided with an incorrect CVC2 number, the transaction will not be approved.

    If you have a Visa or Mastercard the CVC2 number is located on the back of your card and it is 3 digits. On an American Express card the CVC2 number is located on the front of the card and is 4 digits. The CVC2 number is often also referred to as CVV number, CW2, CSC or CID number.

    'Error 12' usually indicates that you've entered the CSC number for your card incorrectly. If a credit card number is provided with an incorrect CSC number, the transaction will not be approved.
